How to limit the post words of site wide activity to 200?

Hi, the post content inside the site wide activity show all the words of a post, is there a way to shorten it to 200 words? Thanks.

@neverhurry, best place will probably be the functions.php in your active theme directory, but you could make a custom plugin for it too.
