How to make announcement and wall post in group?

    I am new to buddypress and have setup several groups and have two questions.

    1. I wanted to ask how does someone go about making an announcement? Under the announcement tab it does not have a post box and when you post under What’s New in the recent activity it shows up under the activity stream. http://screencast.com/t/rUWwfhwhFI

    2. Is there a way for someone to post to the group’s wall directly on the group page instead of going to Recent Activity then clicking the Post To: dropdown? There is no What’s New box on the groups page. http://screencast.com/t/qyC8xZQp

    1. @jeffp808 What announcement plugin are you using? Did you check if it’s been updated for or compatible with current BP version?

    2. What theme are you using? If you change to BP Default theme, there’s a status update box in the group’s home page (activity) where members can post updates.
