    Hi !

Am trying to modify some labels / messages etc. in Buddy Press.

Using WP 3.8 and BuddyPress 1.9.1

    Following the procedure at :

    http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/customizing/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/

    Doesn’t seem to work . Questions :

    a) Am using POEdit, HOW do I make a .mo file ?

    b) In .. plugins/buddypress/bp-languages found a buddypress.pot file. Downloaded and renamed it to buddypress-en_US.po file. Edited the same using POEdit. Loaded back this file to …plugins/buddypress/bp-languages. No changes !

    Pl advise, many thanks !

You don’t edit the .mo file, the .mo file is generated from the .po file. Open the .po file in Poedit and hit save. You should see a new .mo file generated.
