how to require user to upload avatar on signup.

    Is there a way to require new users the upload an avatar upon signup? having it that was would make the site much richer looking without the avatar place holders and also make browsing users much more interesting to members.

    But yes, Bp allows uploading avatar in the second step of signup, so if you are just looking for that, then it will work.If you are looking for avatar uploading at the signup page(step 1), then you need to do custom coding.
