I enabled Mu (network) and the forums disappeared..

I have disabled the forums component and then re-enabled with no success.

Any ideas?

What do you mean they “disappeared”? Are you getting 404s when you click on the Forums tab? Do individual group forums work?

Also, any info you could provide along these lines would be helpful: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/when-asking-for-support/

Hi – Thanks for taking the time to have a look..

There are no forum tabs and the group forums have gone – If I use a link from an old forum post it just redirects to the front page – No errors to report (I assume the default 404 is a redirect).

I have tried disabling the forums and re-enabling.

The URL is http://ukexpats.eu – I am just setting up so I have not lost anything – However I do need forums and its puzzling.

Do you have the groups component enabled as well?

Also, check out Dashboard > BuddyPress > Forum Setup. Does it tell you that forums are properly installed? If not, go through the install procedure (it takes two clicks). If not, try setting up an existing installation, and make sure that BP points to the correct path of your bb-config.php file.

Thank you – I don’t know what I did to disable it.

I have now set it to use an existing forum install and used the original bb-config.php that I had used previously – The posts are gone, but that’s OK and there is an issue with the tag cloud – but I think I can handle that.
