Impossible to assign teacher role

    Hi alle,
I’m becoming a little mad, and I need some help.

I’m using WordPress 3.3.1 multisite with Buddypress 1.5.4, BuddyPress ScholarPress Courseware 0.9.5 and these plugins http://minus.com/mbh0ik3v6O#1f

I activate (for the entire network) Buddypress and then Courseware with these settings http://minus.com/m9gZN9mcS#1f

Then I create a group and enable Courseware for this group. I’m the administrator of the entire network, then I’m also the admin for the group and for Courseware and then I’m able to add Lecture.
I have added another user as Group administrator and I would like to make him teache of the course. When he changes his profile and click on “Apply for Teacher” I do not receive any teacher request and I’m not able to promote any user to teacher role.
I’m the only one user able to be teacher.

What’s wrong in my procedure? Is it mandatory to nominate groups “classes”.

    Thank you very much,

    Andrea

P.S. OFFTOPIC: Is there anyway to be notified when someone replies to a post forum, inside this forum?

You did everything ok, and No, it’s not required to rename groups into courses.

I would like to ask you if BuddyPress Messages component is enabled. Thats the only reason why somebody should not get notifications.

You can always skip this step and go directly to user profile, in example:
    http://DOMAIN.TLD/members/ID/profile/edit/group/2/

P.S.: No, there’s no option to get notified.

    Hi Stas,
first of all thank you, you are the human engine of this forum.

Please look at the below video. As you can see the first user (me) that is administrator can add lectures, the second one that is group admin and teacher cannot add lectures. Is it normal?
    The URL of the video:

    Thank you very much,

Hmm, I can see you enabled Courseware in Italian language.
Is there a chance you enabled Courseware after switching the language?
The `Teacher` value, should be the one translated in Italian, not the English word.

Go to Extended Profile, and try deleting the Courseware group. Re-enable the plugin after it.

If it doesn’t work, try switching back to English.
    Please report back. Thanks.

    Hi stas,
I have made it: deacivate buddypress and then delete the Courseware group.

Now I try switching back to English.

    Thank you

    Hi Stas,
the problem is the language. If I use English it seems to work, but I need to use Italian.
    Is there any solution?

    Thank you,

    Andrea

Thanks a lot for confirming this.
    I will check it asap.
Meanwhile, try to enable Italian back. AND ONLY AFTER THAT, enable Courseware.

The `Teacher` role should be in Italian.
    Please report back.

Hmm, I’ll check it locally to find a solution.
If not, I will roll a fix. Thanks.

    I’ll report back here.
