    Hello,

I’d like to inegrate he Achievements plugin with a few actions on my website.

For example, I have EventEspresso plugin, and I’ve modified it a lot to cater to my needs. I’d love to add the feature so that when someone registers/purchase a ticket for an event, the user receive achievement points.

I saw your website but I am not too familiar with hooks, etc.

I have a script that registers the user

    $sql = INSERT userid to eventstable etc…

Right after that insert, I’d like to send the achievements information to the database.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Giovanni

  • Hi Giovanni
You need to read the EventEspresso code and find the section that handles when someone purchases a ticket. Hopefully there will be a do_action() function call. Are you using the free-to-download version of this plugin or is it a premium plugin?

    Hi Paul,

It’s a premium version but the section where someone registers with a ticket is the same as the free version. they do not have a do_action function call….

However, I know PHP and I’m a beginner developer for WP … I just don’t know how the do_action() work…

Could you please be so kind and let me know what I need to do? I’m OK with modifying the plugin, I have done that already many times to satisfy the needs of my website.

    Thanks!

    Giovanni

I’d start here to learn about hooks, actions and filters: http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API
