International language support

    I tried buddypress default theme and fishbook as well. When I post something under forums in Indian language, it shows as “?????????????”. However, on the blog, I can type in any language.Seems like the issue is only under forms. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    It’s an old bug with bbPress or BuddyPress, I’m not sure which. After backing up your database, try changing the encoding of your wp_bb_* tables in the database from “latin1” to “utf8”. If you don’t know how to do this, ask your host.

    Hi all, I made the change to the encoding for those tables but I’m still experiencing the issue. All foreign language scripts continues to appear as “?????.” Again, the problem seems localized to the forums only. Any other ideas?? I have lots of international users just waiting to dive into the forums if they can use it. Thanks!
