Is there a Getting Started Guide?

    Is there a Getting Started Guide that explains the features of BuddyPress and how to set them up?

    I have tried the Documentation but the navigation and interface is very confusing.

    It’s confusing because it has old directions that do not pertain to BP 1.7. The install process has been simplified.

    My problem isn’t getting it installed. That was easy enough as it’s a WP plugin.

    There is a Getting Started with WordPress on wordpress.org I was just hoping to find something similar on here for BuddyPress.

    Thanks. That does help. Now that I have a working multisite WP install I’m going to try BuddyPress install again.

    Question about sharing users between sites, I know with a plugin you can handle assigning new users to other users sites. However what does this gain the new users or the site owner? Do new users need to be added to another users site?

    No. WP has one user base. You don’t need multi site to use BuddyPress
