Is there a way to edit category slug?

I’m running bp-links on a Chinese site, and since by default the category slug is inherited from the category name, I would have messy codes if I use a Chinese category name, or I have to use a English name first, then edit the category and change the category name.
So is there a way to edit the slug easily?
