Just curious how Youtube (and other video) embeds work

    Is it as simple as just including a URL to the youtube page? Are some brackets needed similar to HTML formatting or BBCode? Nothing seems to be working for me. I can’t find any official documentation on how to use that feature. Thanks.

    I use this plugin, you may want to check out: oEmbed for BuddyPress

    Simply put the URL in any post/activity, and it automagically inserts the video.

    Embedded video will not be released until version 0.1.9. When we release it, all the user has to do is paste the URL into a box and click “post”, the plugin handles the rest, just like Facebook.
