Language translation without manipulating code in the database

Our site is a group of blogs all connected to the main site. The base language of our site needs to be in Romanian but we want to have language options for Russian and English site wide as well.
I’ve tried installing BP Translate and BP Multilingual thinking it would be an easy process but though the language menu appears in the nav bar no changes occur when you switch from language to language.

Is there no plugin that does this without having to go into the database code?
Either way, would somebody be willing to walk me through the process. I can’t find any step by step instructions for beginners.

Does the silence mean that the answer is no?

You would be best to ask direct on the support forums for those plugins, if they have them, or contact the authors directly. They are not plugins that I’ve seen in general use.

There are also a few discussions on the general WordPress codex about different approaches to in page translation.. Have a Google for those

Thanks. I tried posting in support after I posted here because I realized this might not be the right place. But I didnt delete this post and was reprimanded for posting the same thing twice.

I’ll go back to support and specify my request.
