Casual perusal only but they seem to be rather on the expensive side? I might compare them to Media Temple who are on the expensive side but in comparison win out on basic VPS specs, but I oughtn’t to judge having no experience of LiquidWeb.
@techguy I’ve hosted with them for about 5 years now. Yes they are a little expensive, but I have found that the customer support you get makes up for it big time. I have a dedicated server with them, but had previously been on their VPS plan for a few years. I cant speak for Media Tempe as I’ve never hosted with them but Liquid Web is pretty top notch IMO
@hnla Mine’s not a recommendation or a promotion. I asked someone for a BP host suggestion and they gave me this host recommendation. That’s why I posted the topic. So, I could get other feedback on it and others could benefit from the feedback as well. Notice that none of the links are affiliate links.
@acousins How big of a BuddyPress install do you have? How much traffic does it get? How much do you pay for a dedicated server?
I just got off the phone with LW and they don’t know how much memory is allocated for a shared hosting package. We are looking for a shared host with at least 128mb ram. We are having issues at 64mb trying to upload images with bpgallery.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have checked:
Godaddy = 64mb (Max)
Hostgator = 64mb
trd = 256mb (No telephone support)

Why are you looking for a shared host? I don’t think any shared hosts have 128MB RAM. You’ll probably have to go with a VPS like LW or many of the other options to get to that level.
