Members uploading videos to website

Hi everyone,

I am creating my first website and want it to be a successes.

I am using “detube” as a template. I want users to be able to upload their videos onto my website just like on youtube. Is there a special plug in that i need to be able to do this?

I’m trying to do the same thing… and also let members upload photos (I’m guessing that will be a similar solution)

if you have a basic php and css knowledge then you can give it a go. the easiest way is by creating custom post type call Video with tags and categories capability.

then code upload form and link it to your post type.

wordpress built in oembed is another benefit for your user to be able to embed videos from oembed supported sites.

Thank you Prince Abiola… I decided to take the easy option and buy a theme that supported video / photo uploading and sharing… unfortunately that’s not going to plan either!!!

I will update when I have success with either options 😉

I have heard great things about rtmedia as above person mentioned and sounds like what you need
