Migrating from socialengine to buddypress

    @clixbits

    Has anyone yet found an easy way to migrate from socialengine to buddypress?

    I’ve been scouring the internet and there doesn’t seem to be anything available. From what I’ve seen looking through various other forums there are a lot of other people out there that have fallen out of love with socialengine.

    Wishing now that we had gone with buddypress to start with.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Although I don’t have an answer to your question regarding an easy way to migrate from SocialEngine, I thought I’d reach out to let you know SocialEngine is under new ownership as of January, 2014.

    I’m one of the new owners, and have been working diligently with a new team to bring the platform back to “love” status for people like yourself. We’ve had three new releases this year, and if interested you can learn more about the new era for SocialEngine via the following blog post: http://www.socialengine.com/blog/2014/01/23/new-era-for-socialengine

    Thanks, and hope we can win you back.

    There is no such migration tool. BTW what are the reasons for migration?
    If you do not have too many users it may be best to ask your users to reregister for a “new” and better version of your site (which will be BP under the hood)
