More search options in default drop down of bp search

Hi, kendyman70 posted this on a WordPress forum and i think, this should be a better place to discuss about his need :
`BuddyPress has its own search field, which searches Groups, Members, Post, etc. But for my site we have just members, groups, posts.
Is there a way to add two more search fields or more to the drop down menu of the BuddyPress Search, to include a search function for ‘classified’ and other wp pages.
This link is somewhat similar to what I want but NOT for ‘activity’ and for other pages at my site.

Sorry i don’t know Classified, maybe it’s this plugin, but as it hasn’t been updated for 2 years..
So as on twitter i understood that Kendyman70 was looking for a way to add a category search from this box (search box in bp default header), this is what i’ve tested :

Is there a way to display a Custom Post Type?
Thanks for the code in github, but I wish post type, not categories.
