Multiple achievements feature

    Hi, Paul!

    Really miss in options of multiple achievements. I would like to encourage the user points for each activity on the site. And a separate award for any significant achievements.

    For example, for each reply on the forum user receives 1 point and for every new topic 5 points. This is repeated action. Open this achievement can be many times.

    When the user write 1000 replies, he will open “great speaker” achievement. This is not a repeated action. Open this achievement is possible only once.

    I will think about this, but initial thoughts are that this is a good idea and that I can implement this without changing any database structure, which makes it more likely.

    Yes. I need to think about if the person would get the same badge graphic each time, or only once.

    I’d suggest just a text overlay of the number over a default icon for the achievement ‘class’ — but yeah, I’d like to see this too!

    Create. If 0 than it’s unlimited times… :) For now i use number “9999999999999999999999999″ …

    Oh i cannot. What mean when i write maximal number in “When the achieviments repeat” or in something like that?

    I think the administrator still must be given a choice. For example, it makes no sense to report about the award when it is given a message on the forum, if we reward points for every message. It makes sense if we are awarded for every 100 messages, for example. Do you understand me? =)

    No, not yet. Probably going to move to custom post types before this sort of thing is done/properly considered.

    I’m on holiday at the moment in New Zealand/Australia so won’t be for a while.

    I absolutely, definitely, assuredly, (did I mention absolutely? :)) NEED this feature. I don’t care about the icon so much – it could be shown just once. What I really, really need is a cumulative count of points earned for a given action.

    I’m working on a pretty big new version of Achievements (2.1) which I hope to have in beta in a few weeks; when I get to the point of looking at this, I’ll keep it in mind.

    Something I’ve already added is being able assign multiple actions to one achievement — for example, you could get it to trigger on ten comments or ten blog posts, or a combination of five comments and five blog posts :)

    @djpaul killer combos….nice. ! sounds like that would need to be tied to Start Date and End Date parameter to work best, or else it’ll get hard to manage beyond the first post/comment combo for example.

    Hi Paul, I left a post comment on achievementapp today, but seems it is not there now.

    Any movement on this? Being able to give ongoing points for continual posting would be great.
