new admin – no worky

Logging in as admin works fine, total access, no problems.
As you know using ‘admin’ is not the most secure way to go about things so I created a new user with admin rights.
Logged out/ went to login as new ‘admin’ user.
Now, I can log in as the new user and access BP fine but I cannot get to the admin area “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”
Also, when I check ‘My blogs’ I get ‘create a blog’ but when I go to my blogs on my settings page I have the main blog already listed.
I’m using the adapted settings to limit only 1 blog per user.
EDIT – Scrub that this issue is resolved.
Even though the user had been created as admin, for some reason, admin rights hadn’t been associated. All sorted now.
