    @crashutah

    Just added the automatic login function. It’s working on my site, but I have a number of other plugins doing stuff at login. So, I’m interested to hear how it works for other people.

    Can’t wait for this to be complete for MU!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!

    Thanks,
    eor

    Hmm…we’ll see if I get bored some evening. I’m not sure I’ll get around to the MU changes, but we’ll see. It’s become less of a priority since right now i’m leaning towards just using WP since I don’t need the blog functionality. Then, I’ll move to MU later. Although, we’ll see. I like some of the email validation features in MU too. I wish they were implemented in BP, but I digress.

    We’ll see.

    Good New @eor and @motomac I’ve got the WPMU disable activation working. I just need to integrate it with my existing plugin and test it a little bit more. If I get ambitious tonight I’ll also add some options to leave the activation email on or off (it can work as a good welcome email for some).

    Ok, I just updated the plugin. Here’s the list of new features:
    -Added support for WPMU (multisite). Includes automatic activation, disabling activation email and automatic login
    -Added redirect to home page after activation and login so the sidebar recognizes the login
    -Added bp_diable_activation_redirect_url filter to redirect to somewhere other than the home page if people desire
    -Added loader file that makes sure BuddyPress is activated first

    Please test it out and let me know if you have any problems.

    Are you interested in working with me to bring some of this functionality into my Welcome Pack plugin? Since private messages are disabled on this site, if you could email me at paul at byotos dot com just to say yes/no, that’d be appreciated. Thanks.

    @techguy you are the man. This was very important to my site. You are a life saver!!

    Thanks so much

    I sent you an email Paul. I’d be happy to.

    Glad it worked for you eor. It was essential for me. Well, not the MU part, but the other part.

    @crashutah, super!
    Thank you!

    One moment. You can add “Site Wide Only: true” for WPMU to make plugin invisible for another users in console.

    Strangeness: sometimes there are no activity item “{username} became a registered member” or it looks strange:

    I’ve added the Site Wide Only: true I hope I did it in the right spot. I didn’t have a good site to test that. So let me know if it’s wrong, but I think it should work.

    Good catch on the activity stream. I just took the activity stream from the other plugin and it looks like they had old activity stream code. I’m still not 100% sure it’s right, but I tested it and it’s fixed the problem your screenshot shows.

    While I was at it, I also added the activity stream notification to WP blogs too since I’d only done it for WPMU before.

    You should see the updates once the repo refreshes.
