New Users added to bbPress as “inactive”

When a new user registers on my MU site they show up in bbPress as “inactive.” In turn, this means that they cannot participate in Buddypress group forums.

I’m not sure if this is related, but when someone registers for a new user on my site, they get the following message.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/user/public_html/mu/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-signup.php on line 104

Registration works, and all other parts of my site seem to work. How do I make it so that new users are added to bbPress as members?

    wpmu_enable_bbpress_capabilities.php

    This plugin does not help.

    Upgrade to the trunk version.

upgrade everything to trunk? or just specific files?

    Updated to trunk: wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-signup.php

Still not working. I’ll work on other components next. If anyone knows what specifically I need to upgrade, let me know. I tried all of bp-forums and bp-xprofile. Did not work.

When Andy tells you to upgrade to the trunk, he means upgrade your entire BuddyPress install to the trunk version, all files.

Trunk versions are typically committed complete functioning changes, so they as much as they are mini revisions, the idea is that they are always the most updated bug fixed versions of BuddyPress.

I’m guessing that your bp prob was solved by upgrading to latest trunk. The bbpress issue can be solved by upgrading to the latest of that as well. Sam fixed that.
