New users get automatic invitations from admin

    When new users register, they automatically get 2 invitations:
    1- To become friends with the admin.
    2- To join one group where the admin is owner.

    Is this a bug? Or am I missing the configuration option?

    This suggests that:
    1) the admin is sending the invitation
    2) the admin is checking a group to invite the user to during the invitation process

    That’s the thing, invitations are beeing sent automatically. Why?

    Friendship invitations are sent under the assumption that if you invite someone to a social network, you also want to be friends with them. This happens automatically. At the moment, there is no configuration option to turn this off (though it could be stopped with a plugin).

    Group invitations are only sent if the inviter checks group boxes during the invitation process. If you don’t want them to be sent when the user activates, don’t check any boxes.
