No activity when adding BuddyPress to an existing WordPress install

In my local development environment I added BuddyPress to an existing install of WordPress. The local environment is using BuddyPress 1.6.1 and WordPress 3.4.2 with the default BuddyPress theme with no customization. I installed and activated BuddyPress after importing all the content from my previous CMS and none of the posts show up in the activity stream for the appropriate member. They do show up in the appropriate category and on the home page, and in the various archives. I found this plugin but it’s really out of date and errored out on activation: http://teleogistic.net/code/buddypress/bp-import-blog-activity/. Any help registering the posts in the appropriate activity streams would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I meant to mention that this is a multisite install and the activity is really not there, on the backend. (It’s not a theme problem.)

Because those Posts/activities were done before BP was activated, BP was not able to “record” those posts in the activity stream. New posts from this time shall be recorded in the sitewide activity stream as well as respective members’ activity streams. As for the plugin updates, it’s up to the plugin developer.

Thank you, I suspected that was the case.
