No Email Notification when user has new "private message"

    My users get an email notification for each:

    -friends request

    -mention in an activity update

    -group invitation

    But they dont get any email notification when they receive a private message!!

    I dont understand why all the notifications seem to work exept for the most important one: PRIVATE MESSAGE..

    Does anyone have the same problem

    Can anyone help?
