I installed 0.1.7 everything was working great I think. Now before I tell you the problem, I will tell you what I did first. I switched buddypress to multi user so now it is running wp3.0 BP MU. The BP MU seems to work great with the plugins except for my theme(but thatis another issue that I am trying to work out) But now when I try to upload a photo I get a white black box with no picture only and “x”. I am using buddypress Default theme. I tried small jpegs and some large ones.

    Thanks in advanced

You are probably hosting on a cheap, shared server. Many of these hosts use all sorts of strange redirect setups that will cause you endless grief with many plugins. Version 0.1.9 of BP Media lets you manually set all of the system filepaths and URL’s instead of using the ones the server reports.

Try it out and let me know if it works on your system.

Honestly though, if you’re trying to run a multi-site BuddyPress install on $20/month web hosting you’re setting yourself up for disaster. A busy (1000 users) BuddyPress site requires hosting in the $200 to $300 a month range, especially if you’re hosting media files.

Yeah, the account is from my reseller account in Hostgator. I plan on getting a dedicated hosting account soon however, I don’t know if I will run into a problem with the transfer. But I loved the new beta Photo Album + it worked right away and let me know what feedback I can give you. In the meantime I got 2 Buddypress sites set up, one with MU and the other with plain Buddypress. Both are using the 0.1.9 of Media now.

    Thanks

I’m glad 0.1.9 works on your system. Make sure you do not run 0.1.9 on a production site until we get our data model finished, because you’ll lose all uploaded content when we make the switch.
