Did you edit the required code?
@abysshorror it definitely works mate, I just updated last night. As @modemlooper suggests, make sure you edited the required code:
//////
Copy the home.php into buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/members/single. Overwrite the file or edit your own home.php file
/////
Just change the or if like me you have another template:
wp-content/themes/frisco-for-buddypress/members/single
(as this template home.php overwrites the root buddy press one. This may be your problem)
Good luck, it’s a great addition.
@Flocktome @modemlooper thank you guys. Indeed, when I installed it I didn’t change the code. The thing is that I saw the “REQUIRES CODE EDIT” warning on the plugin’s description but I never saw what changes should be made. Where were this instructions ?
Quick comment: While testing I made one of my users block it’s groups for non-friends but from a non-friends profile I could see how many groups the user has (in the navigation tab the number appears but of course I couldn’t see them). I think the number shouldn’t be seen.
Thank you very much and I really appreciate the work you’re doing, it’s a great plugin
Cheers !
@Flocktome @modemlooper would it be possible to add the same functionality but using also the following/followers plugin ?
In fact I’d like to disable the friends mechanism and use only the follow method. It would be nice if the plug-in could manage this also.
I’m not a coder (in fact I know really little about programming) but I’m willing to try myself if you could give me some directions
