"Object not found!" instead of members, group or profile pages

Hi there,

on my fresh install of WordPress mu with Buddypress only the homepage is being displayed. For any other Buddypress page I get an error “Object not found!”

I put the install on new webspace until we assign our actual domain to the new provider, so the adress is “raw” and thus lengthy:

http://wp1168531.wp198.webpack.hosteurope.de/www/wordpress-mu/

Any ideas on what might be the problem here? Any hint would be appreciated!

(I used the current Buddypress 1.1.3/Wordpress-mu bundle from buddypress.org.)

I know what caused the error now: My webhoster did not support mod_rewrite. This however, has to be turned on since there is no option to turn off permalinks in buddypress, or is there?
