    Judging from the syntax used in the plugin readme files, I’m not quite sure it uses shortcodes.

    A WP shortcode usually has a parameter then the value.
    eg. `[video link=http://youtube.com/?watch=xxxx]`

    Not:
    `[video http://youtube.com/?watch=xxxx ]`

    Unless I’m completely missing something in the shortcode API that allows you to do that!
