Is there a way to povide only certain selected plugins to member blogs?

I think at the moment it’s all or nothing.

This is a WPMU question. Please ask on their forums.

Look into the Supporter plugin (you need to pay for it though!).

Supporter looks like another paid membership plugin. Usefull, but I don’t think it makes plugins deployment any more selective:

    … only supporters get Plugins

Still sounds like all or nothing.

@peterverkooijen –The supporter plugin is more than that. Basically what it does is simple. It allows you to select which plugins are available to supporters only. Meaning you can have plugins activated that everyone can use, and also have ‘premium’ plugins for your paying members. It even puts a nice little ‘info’ box in the plugins directory page that says ‘for supporters only’ so the people can see the value to ‘joining’.

    Thanks Anointed, that sounds great.

How solid/mature is it as a membership plugin, compared with “market leaders” like WishList and MemberWing? I was going with WishList, but may have to reconsider.

Are there any plans to add this kind of functionality to standard Buddypress?

Edit: I see Supporter only has PayPal support…

Edit: WishList has more than PayPal, but no Amazon or credit cards either…

This topic may mislead new comers that this forum also supports wpmu blog discussions. I suggest you to move this topic under wpmu forum, or wpmudev forum.

socialpreneur, can you guarantee that ANY plugin that works on WPMU also works on Buddypress? And works for all features of Buddypress?

No, we can’t. I’m also closing this thread as it’s two months old and now off-topic.
