Photos NOT Showing in User’s Activity Stream

    Hello,

I have done an extensive research but have found nothing on given topic.

When I upload a new photo into an album my activity stream just shows an empty space with the name of the photo. But after I deactivate BuddyPress Album, the uploaded photo appears! I am quite confused, because logically speaking, it seems like BuddyPress Album stands in its own way. I know it does sound far-fetched considering the stellar reviews it got. But I did check Folder Permissions and set them up at 775. So I would very much appreciate if anybody could point out the possible cause of this problem, and I would be even more grateful if anybody could provide a solution.

We’ve never had anything like that reported before. Post a link to a page on your site that’s experiencing this problem and we’ll take a look.

Thank You for such a prompt response. I really appreciate it and will definitely make a donation once I can.

Here it is – below, though under construction:

Also, I did try deactivating BuddyPress Activity Plus – it didn’t help. And I did try deactivating WP Super Cache.

and can you please take a look at it within two days? I want Google to refrain from crawling it, but had to unblock it. Yeah, I understand its kinda too much, but I want to avoid bugs being seen by everyone around the world,
On another note, I wonder if my level of PHP, CSS, and HTML would qualify me for a couple weekly hours of work at your project,

Add a nocache flag in your robots.txt file to prevent stale versions of pages being visible. You can tell Google to re-crawl your pages by sending a ping to feedburner http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/ping but use with discretion or they’ll start ignoring you.

The page you posted a link to has no activity posts whatsoever. Please create some.

Also, I see you’re using a custom theme. In our experience this is responsible for over 90% of the issues users report. Please switch to the default BuddyPress theme and test again.

If you can get the problem to happen repeatably while using the latest version of BP, the latest version of WP, and the latest version of BP-Album, you’ve found a new bug.

You were totally right: custom theme was the cause of the problem,
so I’d say never use a custom theme for BuddyPress – that’s for anyone who stumbles upon this forum thread.

    But mostly important,
Thanks for the help. It did help.
