possible bug?

    Whenever I click “Create Member Group” within an existing group, after the group is created, it shows the group name and description as being empty (” “). Essentially it creates a group with no name or description even though I input these fields. If I create the groups through the normal BP “Create Group” button and give them a hierarchy from there, it works fine.

    Not sure what could be causing this?

    Hmmm… does the newly-created group have an empty slug, or is it still accessible as though the name had survived?

    Looks like empty slug. Once I click “Finish” in step 4, it redirects to:
    http://www.domain.com/groups//

    And the group shows up with no name or description in the directory at
    http://www.domain.com/groups/subgroup/

    When you click the new nameless group in that directory, it takes you to:
    http://www.domain.com/groups/subgroup//

    I think the problem may be in the “create” step, because after I click “create group and continue” in step 1, if I then click “previous step” in step 2: hierarchy (to go back to the create step), the name and description fields are now empty…

    any followup on this? i am also having the very same problem with an empty slug..

    Do you have any other plugins running?
    Also, which browser are you using?

    I still haven’t been able to reproduce this, even on a fresh install of WP 3.1 and BP 2.8.

    same thing has been happening to me. it worked great on a site i did a few months back, but now when the plugin is turned on i can’t access any of my groups, and if i create a group within a parent group it creates an empty group that i cannot delete even with the plugin turned off.

    that is on a new site… in internet explorer with the newest versions of wp and bp. there are other plugins running as well.

    I still can’t reproduce this issue. However, a new version has just been released, and among other things, the way the “Create a Member Group” button works has been changed.

    If you are experiencing this problem, please try out the new version and let me know whether that fixes it.
