Possible major problem – friend connections disappearing, unable to accept new requests :(

    I (and my members) keep getting duplicate friends requests, including ones from ourselves.

    Any ideas on why this might be happening?

    Actually the problem is worse than I thought. The friendship connections keep disappearing, which is why the requests keep showing up. Even worse still is that when you try to accept the new request you get an error that says “Friendship cannot be accepted.”

    Help! Please?

    To make it easier to provide help: please provide more information –

    Which version of WP / BP?
    Does the problem exist if you switch to the default BP theme?
    Have you tried de-activating other plugins and testing whether one of them is interfering with the behaviour of BP?
