Hi, I use buddypress for my community site and I love it, until I installed bbpress (the forum) then when I check my site on internet explorer it looks very very not nice, everything seems to be broken. Anybody knows why? Is it because bbpress or not? It looks fine in all other browsers though except internet explorer?! I thank you in advance!

Getting Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted which you need to resolve first –> https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/

Also, if you want people to help with troubleshooting, do provide test username and password for volunteers to use for your site. You can always delete that test login info later.

Thank you for your prompt response! I appreciate it. The only problem I have with my site is that it looks fine in all browsers but the internet explorer?! I have installed BuddyPress Sliding Login Panel and BuddyPress Activity Stream Bar plugins which everything looks nice and fine in any other browsers except in internet explorer in which both plugins expand vertically instead of horizontally as it should be. Therefore, my site looks very strange with the two plugins stretch out both at the top and bottom, so they cover the whole page?!

I have now created a test user, so you could login and investigate the issue for me which is:

    Username: test
    Password: 789456

    Thank you for your help,

Confirmed that the two plugins have broken layouts in IE. You’d have to bring this to the attention of the plugin developers. Note however, that these two plugins have not been updated since mid-2011

Thanks for your prompt response again! It’s very nice of you. I have now deactivated the two plugins since they made my site look ugly in IE. When they have made an update on them I might try to install them again. I have an another issue with BuddyStream Version 2.5.12 in which when I tried to set up a cron job in my cpanel it said:

    Error
    “-“:1: bad command
errors in crontab file, can’t install.

So, I don’t know what I did wrong?

    Regards,

    SoBuddy

Can you post the exact cron as you have it in cPanel?
Also, BuddyPress has a group in here I believe, so you might also want to post the question there, including the line as you have it entered.

It should look like this: `wget http://YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php -O /dev/null -q`, and be set to run every 15 minutes. Don’t reduce that time by the way. Networks will cut you off if you do.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I have successfully created a cron job per your instruction. But, the problem is: I don’t know about it is working or not since I have tried to connect my youtube account with my site via buddystream, but nothing seems to be happening?

BuddyStream offer support on their website for registered users, so check out http://buddystream.net/ for help from that plugin’s authors.

Thanks for your reply Paul Gibbs. I have thus created a support ticket with buddystream.net, but until now I haven’t got any answer, yet.

    Anyway, after I have installed buddypress profile progression and changed the code in line 31 to: $profile_value = trim(bp_get_profile_field_data( $field,$user_id ));

I then get this error when I log in to my admin dashboard: Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘wp_admin_bar_header’ not found or invalid function name in /home/buddyg5/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 405

So, I don’t know about it has something to do with that or not? Beforehand Thanks!
