Pull user updates to a single page

Hi ! First off got to say buddypress is awesome. Started using it for an internal portal and it really hasn’t been a hassle.
What I would like is to filter out all the posts etc from activity that aren’t activity_updates.
However I’m not quite sure how I would do that since they don’t seem to have an id or anything.
