[Resolved] Registration page ignoring user's created password

Hello,

I have bbPress 2.5.3 installed and have been having an issue with user registration.

On the registration page, the user chooses their own password, and then once approved, the user is then sent an automated registration message <b>which then assigns the user a new random password</b>. The user then has to log in using this random password and reset the password.

bbPress seems to completely ignore what the user had originally set as their password from the very beginning.

Anyone else having this problem and is there a fix?

After much research and experimentation I fixed that password problem I was having.. Had to do with the “New User Approve” plugin I was using: http://picklewagon.com/wordpress/new-user-approve/

The fix was to add the following line to the functions.php that turned off this password reset:

function ignore_new_user_autopass() {
return true;
}

add_filter( ‘new_user_approve_bypass_password_reset’, ‘ignore_new_user_autopass’ );
