    @loubas

    Hi all,

    I am trying to setup Greek for Buddypress but with no luck.
    Lets start from basics :
    My language code should be set to “el” and the Locale to “el_EL” right (I am using qtranslate)?
    Then I went to the url
    http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/buddypress/dev/el/default
    and exported the translations to .mo file. The file is named “buddypress-dev-el.mo”. I copied it into the folder “wp-contentlanguages”. Shouldn’t it work or am I missing something?
    I am using Buddypress 1.5.5

    Thank you very much!!

    @loubas

    I had to change the name of .mo file to
    buddypress-el.mo
    and now it works

    Not my area of expertise, but I believe “el” is correct code for Greek. el_GR might be Greek (Greece). Either way, the translate.wordpress.org site uses “el”, so that’s what we need to use for this language pack.

    loubas found the solution, you have to rename the file. Good work!
