Hi. I am about to start a fresh new install of Wp to make a Multisite place. I want to do a clean and setup before uploading Buddypress. I am somehow confused with the MUPlugins folder use… Should I upload the Buddypress plugin (and all the network plugins at that) in the MUPlugis folder, or should I just install in the regular Plugins folder (wp-content) and network activate them?

Any explanations regarding this issue and the use of the different folders would be most appreciated..

Thanks as usual for all the kind help.

    Best,

    Erik.

  • If you put (any) plugin in mu-plugins, then it’s activated ALL THE TIME and you cannot disable the plugin.

I suggest you put BuddyPress into /plugins/, just in case you need to disable it in future
