Restrict Theme/Widget Change for Member Blogs

Is it immediately possible to setup a default theme and widget setup for all member blogs to use, and disallow the appearance menu entirely from the user wp-admin area?

Basically, I don’t want users to have the option to change from the main theme ever.

Assuming this is not immediately possible, how easy would this be to do?

disable all the themes in the themes admin section under site admin

That’s the response I anticipated getting, but it doesn’t answer the questions.

Unless I’m missing something, and I definitely could be, doing that alone makes the default theme set and still allows for editing of widgets. I would like a pre-made widgetized blog setup so that my users can’t/won’t have to do it themselves.

If you setup new blog users to be Authors, they only have limited access to the dashboard and can’t see the themes. They can still add posts, media, and a few other things. Just enough for what most of them will need.

An added bonus is that the “switch theme” option is removed from the cascading menu viewable in the user’s profile.

    Hope this helps!
