    @mrbeno

    I have been searching for a good host, and I think I found one to host the MU. I went with TMDHosting. So far I am impressed. They signed up and within 30 minutes they set up Buddypress with MU activated for free. And I can’t beleive the price.

    I will keep you all updated as I build my site and gain users.

    Gona have some fun now. Thanks for the help hnla and Techguy

    Drop some specs in the thread for the server and let us know how you find things, good or bad :) Have fun with your new server.

    I will do that. Right now the site is 1/4 done (at least what I want it to do minus the plugins. I am going to add more graphics create several more groups and such.) But so far very pleased in the setup that they did. Here is the site if you want to monitor it’s progress http://healthygroups.com I will follow up about 2-3 weeks with stats and server info after I see some results. I got a twitter acount I am linked to that has almost 800 followers for over a year and half (toward healthcare) and I have been participating in other social networks groups with health, so I guess the real test of the server will happen when I mention it to them. :)

    Sorry If I talked to much, but I am excited

    And keep at this Buddypress hard work!

    One word of caution:

    Stating ‘unlimited’ anything in regards to hosting is borderline deception, there is no such thing and nor is it possible. unlimited space doesn’t exist and it can’t it’s governed by the physical parameters of disk drives, eventually if you repeatedly uploaded large files the disk space would be exhausted and the machine would cease to function.

    Unlimited bandwidth or more accurately and properly referred to as Data Transfer can never be unmetered or unlimited

    Checking around it seems that TMD – possibly – impose quite restrictive bandwidth and will turn you off when it’s exceeded or levy excess charges so watch your site stats, keep an eye on your usage. Of course I have no direct experience of this host and my comments may be unjust and unfair in respect of TMD, but they are generalisations that hold true across the hosting world.

    I really apreciate all the advice Hnla and will keep a close eye on it. On the bright side if I get all that traffic that pushes the limits, I will just expand it. (I already notified the client that if it takes off nice, they may have to pay around $100-$300 a month.) Just to protect me incased they said that wasn’t included in the price.

    Thanks Again for your time and advice. I will give an update in around 2-3 weeks of the server stats and such when I launch it through some social networks and blasting some mail.
