sitewide tags plugin causes double-up of posts on activity stream

    I’m using the plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags/

    This basically allows me to have blog posts from the entire network show up on my primary blog loop, and it works perfectly.

    However I did run into one issue though:

    When I make a post on any blog other than the root blog, I now end up with the activity stream showing the new blog post twice.

    I’m guessing that it’s logical because of how the plugin works, but I am also trying to find a way to fix it so that the activity stream only shows one instance of a new post.

    I really have no idea where to start on this one.

    anyone have any ideas?

    Keep the sidewide posts blog private.

    Then it won’t show up.

    Problem is my sitewide posts blog is the primary root blog. Can’t make that one private as that is the primary place users will visit.

    This might assist. It’s related to double posts in the activity stream when using the feedwordpress plugin. I haven’t implemented it yet:

    @anointed, didn’t know you were using SWT for the root blog.

    In that case, Boone’s got the right idea (as always!).

    @anointed,

    I’m having this problem too and @boone’s code wouldn’t work in my structure.

    Have you found any other solution?

    Do you have your blogs “post to the main blog”?

    Thanks!
