the mass of quote paragrahs and pics

I upgrade my bp to 1.1.1 and use the default theme 1.1.1, which works well but I encountered the problem of display the quote paragraphs and pics on both single post page and index page.
Would anyone please tell me how to edit the theme files to solve the prolbem?
