According to the table on http://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-plugin-compatibility/ the Buddypress Private Community plugin doesn’t work with bp 1.5 (when tested in august)

However the error referred to in that table seems to be for a different plugin…..

Dang. I uploaded both plug ins at the same time – and in the Dashboard they both said “no issues, yada yada”.

    Any suggestions ?

Do I go into the “control panel” and just delete the plug in files first ?

go to the wordpress plugins page and deactivate….

The biggest problem is it won’t let me get to the WP/BP Dashboard. So …. I’m thinking I go into the control panel for the domain, and I guess delete the 2 plug ins and start over.

Can you ftp (using something like filezilla) and delete or rename the /wp-content/plugins/buddypress-private-community/ plugin directory/folder. WordPress will de-activate it…

Yupper …. I went in and deleted the plug in update from the date I started the problem. Thanks aces! When I have time, I’m going back in and reinstalling BP, and the P BP. I was surprised the “home page” disappeared from the WP install though. Everything in the Settings looks right but…. oh well….

duh …. the “home page” showed up after a few minutes. Probably cuz I had multiple windows open I reckon. Thanks again for your help aces! BTW – I believe the reason the unlimited redirects occurred was because I didn’t allow 2 plug-in updates completely install before clicking within the Dashboard.
