Twitter account posting for BP site as a whole

    I’m running a BP site and I’ve set up an account for it on twitter. I’m using tweetstream for individual users on the site to connect their accounts with twitter. I’m wondering if there is a way to connect the site as a whole with its own twitter account.

    I want to set something up so that every time a new forum topic is created or a new group, BP will post to twitter to its own account mentioning it. Any suggestions?

    You can do this without any twitter integration on the BP site…. just use something like Yahoo Pipes or twitterfeed.com to lock on to you activity stream or forum/group RSS streams and Tweet them.

    Use the Buddypress group forums Extra to get the RSS feeds…

    I actually do this with FeedBurner. I have a specific feed for the activity stream that is directly connected to a dedicated Twitter account via FeedBurner’s RSS. Works like a charm. @the_emf_dot_org
