Unable to deactivate plugin

I tested out this plugin on my localhost server, but when I deactivate the plugin, the activity feed continues to output the youtube iframe, instead of the youtube link.

Is there anything else I need to do to remove this plugin completely?

I’ve tried deleting the plugin from my plugins folder altogether, and I’ve tried deactivating my caching plugin, as well as the cache files – but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

You don’t need to use the oEmbed plugin any more. That functionality is bundled into core now as of BP v1.5:

    http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/embeds/

To remove the embed, you need to remove the corresponding activity meta entry from the database.

The DB table is wp_bp_activity_meta. Delete any meta_key entry that starts with _oembed.
