Use WordPress Registration Instead of BP Registraion

Hi,

I have seen the other threads on this topic, but none of the suggestions has worked for me:

– ADD ‘remove_action( ‘wp’, ‘bp_core_screen_signup’, 3 );’ to functions.php
– DELETE registration directory from theme
– CREATE bp-custom.php file with custom code (the custom code suggested crashed my entire site)

Are there any other options/suggestions? I have a lot of custom settings already set up on the regular WordPress registration, so I’m not interested in modifying the BP registration page.
