User Registration Not Working

Whenever someone tries to register on the site it redirects them back to the registration page with the password field empty. They are not registered as members at all I re-installed buddypress; deactivated and activated each plugin one at a time and still no results. I’ve searched in both the buddypress support forum and wordpress and nothing helpful comes up. I’m using buddypress 1.7.2 and wordpress 3.5.1 . The plugins that I have active consist of:

-automatic sign out for inactivity 1.0
-BP profile search 3.3
-buddypress edit user profiles 1.0
-buddypress user account type lite 2.4.6
-Calpress calender 1.5.0.1
-capability manager enhance 1.4.10
-list category posts 0.30.0
-paypal donation shortcode 0.1
-personal welcome 0.3.7
-sign-up sheets lite 1.0.7
-sitewide newsletter 0.4
-tdlc birthdays 0.4
-wordpress access control 3.1.4
-WP Easy paypal payment accept v2.8

@hugirl if it’s not the plugins, did you check if it’s a theme issue and change to Twenty Twelve theme to confirm?

I’m having the same issues, it used to be fine but i’ve had a few people complain that they can’t register in, so i tried making a new profile to see if it was the website or the user.

When anyone tries to register on the site, it just refreshes the page.

I took deactivated all of the plugins, deactivated, deleted and then reinstalled BP and used the standard theme but I still have the same problem that when i try to register as a new user it just refreshes the page.

Yes, I changed the theme to twenty twelve, buddypress default, twenty eleven, and to the original theme that I was using theron lite and I’m at a standstill even after all of that.

I had the exact same issue, and decided to try adding www. to the beginning of the URL in the WordPress address bar under General Settings. That fixed the issue immediately.

I tried the www thing, and it totally broke LOGIN (forget about registration). Anyone else…? Help!

Deactivate BuddyPress and other plugins. Can your members register now?

I have deactivated most of the plugins (the site is live, so it’s tough to do a lot without COMPLETELY disrupting service), all to no avail.

Since the whole point of the site is to use BuddyPress, then I’m not sure how I’d test the new user registration without having it active.

Hi. Any progess on this please? We are suddenly having the same problem and have not installed or removed any additional plugins. Same as @jamesdonegan have tried twentytwelve theme and no plugins. Problem persists.

Site is also live, it worked 10 days ago – but now I can’t make it work at all
