Visibility of posts in Group Activity Streams

I am running single-user WP 2.9.1 with BP 1.2-rc, and have just discovered this issue. Not sure yet if it’s a bug, or if I’m missing something with the settings.

I have created 5 different users with varying permissions from Admin to Member for a test installation I am testing. If I am logged-out completely and I navigate to a specific “Group”, I see all the posts that have been posted to that group (that groups “activity stream”) by all of my multiple test users. But when I login to the site and view the any Group’s home page (activity stream), all I am seeing are the posts posted there by that that particular logged-in user, rather than all the posts by all the users that are there as they should be when no user is logged in.

Logged-in User A only sees User A’s posts, along with replies by any user; User B only sees User B’s posts, along with replies by any user; etc. Everything else is working fine, all the Forum posts are viewable by all logged-in users, it’s just the Group activity stream that is behaving like this.

Oddly, posts by all users are visible in the general Activity stream for the entire site, just not in the individual Group activity streams. And…

If User A posts to a group, user B only sees it in the general site Activity stream and can post a reply there, but then if User B goes back to the group, User B still can’t see User A’s post even though it now contains a reply from User B (user B can’t see the original post or their own reply to it when viewing the Group activity stream, only in the site Activity stream).

    Hope this makes sense… : )

This was a bug in the RC, if you upgrade to the trunk this is fixed.
