    @intimez That’s a fantastic error and we’d love to fix it! But, you need to post a list of steps needed to make the error happen. What did you do, upload, click …what settings did you change?

    Thanks!

    @foxly, I get this error too.
    happens in admin with the last alpha with WP 2.9.2 & last nights build with WP 3.0 when visiting wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-album-embedded

    also get

    Warning: BP_Album_Admin::include_once( ... /html/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/admin/admin-credits.php) [bp-album-admin.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ... /html/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/sub-admin-core.php on line 162

    when going to wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-album-credits

    That’s normal.

    Error #1: It happens because I’m using that screen to run test code right now. I think it also dumps your cache and I think it adds a bunch of extra image sizes. lol. Just delete all the BP Album+ DB tables, delete all your uploaded content, delete the cached image directories, deactivate, activate, and continue.

    I’ll try to remember to remove that in tonight’s nightly build… :)

    Error #2 is happening because we haven’t written that screen yet.

    Thanks!

    @foxly, cool.
    I noticed last nights build uses:

    function bp_album_template_album_thumb_url() {
    echo bp_album_get_template_album_thumb_url();
    }
    function bp_album_get_template_album_thumb_url() {
    return bp_album_album_thumb_url();
    }

    but the bp_album_album_thumb_url function isn’t included so the function doesn’t return a thumbnail

    Here’s what I did to get error reported:
    install wordpress3 with default settings, add buddypress plugin with default settings, set default buddypress theme and then the error pop up when activating BuddyPress Album+ plugin. I create new db and install same way with same error pop up inside dashboard when activating BuddyPress Album+. Hope it helps.

    No further configuration or change.

    @intimez You probably have a really cheap web host or a server that is not set properly. Go to the “Debug Tools” screen, and paste a message with a copy of the information it prints out.

    I went back to deactivate and then activate. It did NOT show the error. Only on new installs and no other plugins have problems so far. How it relate to web host or server confuse me. Didn’t try multisite yet. Thanks for your time.

    I tracked this error down, and it looks like it’s being caused by the server not being allowed to write to your wp content directory.

    Please check the file permissions on these directories and report your results.

    Thanks!

    Don’t think it’s permission since photos can be uploaded.

    Okay, well delete all bp-album DB tables, cache directories, plugin folder, etc. Install latest nightly build.

    Does it still do it? Then try creating a new album, not uploading any content, and viewing the member’s list of albums. Does the default album image (purple question mark) display properly?

    I install on new database with new wordpress and buddypress install. Latest build only 1 error message (see below). Old build has 2 error after activate. Create new album and see blank album with question mark.

    Wow, your web server just does *not* like us… :)

    Okay, I have added error suppression to the filesystem command that is running on line 640. So try tonight’s build when we post it, and hopefully the error should be gone.

    Thanks!
