Welcome message private messaging, mass massaging, message to all users

I upgraded buddypress and we were planning on going live with our site this week, but I’m encountering all sorts of problems related to messaging. Eventhough I have the “enable private messaging” box checked, only friends can send eachother private messages.

The welcome message in the welcome pack is not working either, it did work before.

As a admin I made sure that everbody who signs up becomes my friend, this notification is working, but when I compose a message and want to send it to all users of the site, it’s not working.

I tried the mass messaging plugin but also this one is not working.

Since I’m not a developer I don’t know how to reinstall the latest version since I see no added value in the update.

Can anyone help me?

Regarding Welcome Pack; I’ve been working on an update for it for the last couple of weeks. I’m honestly not sure if the current version works fully with BuddyPress 1.2.10 or 1.5, (but) it will soon!

Ok great! However the startpage of my choice where I have to welcome the people because the welcome pack is not working, doesn’t work either. It redirects to the homepage.

Can you tell me how I downgrade buddypress without having to reinstall everything?

Paul, I’m wondering…If all sorts of messaging services are not working in the buddypress upgrade, the problem might be in the upgrade and not with the welcome pack message. Based on the fact that integrated messaging services in buddypress are not working either. Only the private message to a friend is working. Messages to all users is not working and sending a private message to someone who is not your friend has disappeared altogether even while the “send messages” is enabled.
