What is the directory for avatar uploads?

    Hi all!

    I am hoping to allow my members to upload their own avatars. While testing it with my account, I am getting an error stating

    `Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory /avatars/2. Is its parent directory writable by the server?`

    What would that parent directory be?

    Same directory where images are stored for the media library, in a subdirectory called “Avatars”.

    Did you install WordPress with a one click installer from your host? If so the directory may not have permissions set to allow BuddyPress to create folders and add images to your server
