Why the third-section come first, and not at the third place?

hi, I’ll start to make my bp theme, I cloned the bp-default theme and I would understand the home.php file (in the bp-parent).
Why the third-section come first, and not at the third place?
I read here: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/ultimate-3-column-blog-style-ems.htm
“To make your website as optimised as possible your main page content must come before the side columns”.
And it seems to me the content in the buddy home is in the first-section, so I ask…
is not better, maybe, keep the first section at the first place in the code, etcetera?
